Featuring Deborah Garfield ~ Cancer Survivor, Writer, and Poetess

Deborah Garfield is an incredible and beautiful, vibrant woman, with such a zest for life and what it holds.
I have had a closeness with this author all of my life and unfortunately witnessed much of her suffering during her cancer battle, as well as the regular daily ups and downs throughout each day.
Her book is an autobiography of her own perceptions from the start of discovering breast cancer and how she dealt with it, and throughout her treatments.
It is an honor to feature her book, "I Want To Tell My Story" to you.

Unfortunately the format is unavailable for a downloadable version at this particular time, but it is available in print form.

I Want To Tell My Story ~Written By Deborah A. Garfield

Illustrations By Domingos Joaquim

"Dedicated to those lost and those now living with cancer"

Excerpts from the book:
From Page One:

"I remember as if it were lastnight, the fear I felt as I was showering and found this strange lump in my breast. I felt it once, then again. I wanted to make sure of what it was that I was feeling."

"The lump was about the size of a quarter, and cancer ran on both sides of my family. I was more than concerned. I was horrified."

From Page Seventy-one
:

Before My Vision

I stand before my vision, I know I cannot run,for myself is always here, you see.
My spirit is of one.

I can run away from danger, my horses, my dog, my son, but I can't run away from me.
That I can't outrun.

I heard a wiseman, once he said, listen to the wind. You may fall, but through it all, you can live again.
